You Deserve to Feel Heard

It Doesn’t Have to Feel Like This

Safety is the number one goal in treatment. The best way to have that felt safety is to be able to breathe without tension, laugh without hesitation, and feel free within your own body. We utilize SE (Somatic Experiencing) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to assist with processing the trauma. But we also use your own resources, as well as resources given by our environment. We’d love to help you establish your own set of resources in order to assist with your own felt safety.

Somatic Experiencing & EMDR

The Somatic Experiencing approach facilitates the completion of self-protective motor responses and the release of thwarted survival energy bound in the body, thus addressing the root cause of trauma symptoms. This is approached by gently guiding clients to develop increasing tolerance for difficult bodily sensations and suppressed emotions.

Psychoeducational & Processing Groups

Learning better and more efficient ways to process our trauma in community can be a powerful healing tool. At the Trauma Resolution Center of Texas, we use multiple modalities within our group setting to assist with the healing process. Our current groups focus on healing from sexual assault and/or trauma.
